To save me buying one :P

Anyone in Melbourne have the stripping/crimping tool for telephone cable/RJ22 plugs? These are the small four pin plugs that connect telephone handset to base. They are the fittings between handset and motor on my Orion Accufocuser and I want to make up a longer cable.

It's probably a 2 minute job if I could drop by with my cable and plugs.

Alternatively, any advice for doing the job without the correct tool! :scared:

Thanks in advance

Eric :)

I think you can do it with just a flat pliers, or small vice.
Possibly you need a wooden block the size of the tool, to press the moving part in completely, so the insulation is cut through and the wires are properly connected...

Hi Erick I have one. I borrowed it from a friend and I am due to return it soon. I'm living in Springvale at the moment which is not too far from you. I've sent you a PM with my details.
