View Full Version here: : Collimation of a Mewlon180
Does anyone know would a cassegrain laser collimator work on a Mewlon 180
dall kirk system. I know you can get Bobs knobs for the Tak mewlon 180 but I am looking to do it via laser for accuracy as well. Just wondering if this will work before i buy.
I have searched the net but don't see anything in stone about this type of system and collimation.
Cheers

Hi Ian
Hmm, not sure?
However, I have both a Mewlon 180 and the Kendrick SCT laser collimator. So one night this week, when I've unpacked and recovered from Qld Astrofest and spent some time with family, I’ll plug it in and see what the results are, and let you know.

And if that doesn't work Ian, you can always send it up to me and I'll see what I can do with it. ;)

Sorry Paul – no can do. The patina of a Tak off-white and the lusty Losmandy glossy black just do not mix. Ughhh.

Yep - that's on the acceptable side of the ledger.
