I have an LPI and am getting good results with it . However when i look at the images using the ToUcam I'm tempted to go in that direction. Has any one any comments . Is the ToUcam a quantum leap in learning to use or get results? K3ccd tools looks complicated compared to the lpi software ? Or is this just a first impression.

Hi Philip.

Check out this thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=813&highlight=lpi+toucam) which has some discussion on exactly your question, and also links to another thread with the same discussion.

k3ccdtools is the simplest program you'll ever need. Don't worry about how it looks, you won't use 99% of the functions in it, all you use k3ccdtools for is CAPTURE. You then use other software to align/stack (registax). That can take a little while to master but there's plenty of experienced people here to help you through that learning curve.

Hope that helps.
