Greetings All..
Progress on the Macedon Ranges Observatory main building is well on the way with the site slab now poured and ready to recieve the main framework.
The 9 piers are also being worked on with the main RHS beams arriving this week at the Engineers workshop.
Though IIS readers might find the progress interesting as it continues along.

Hi Rob.
The 3 meter dish will be used to recieve NASA broadcasts 24/7 via the Intelsat 701 satellite over the Pacific. The transmission will then be made available to the main observatory control room.
Should be great for mission coverage and updates.
Bert
