Coronado SolarMax III 70mm in Aussie

Hi all,


I've been doing some searches for the Coronado SolarMax III 70mm for someone that sells them in Australia. My searches have come up empty up to date. The older model Coronado SolarMax II 60mm makes an appearance but not the latest models.


I see that some US and UK companies do sell them and are prepared to ship to Australia paying local taxes etc but not sure about that as yet.


Hope someone can steer me in the right direction

I posted a request a few months ago in the UK and US for user info Re first reviews...no response as yet....

The 70mm/60mm looks interesting as does the 90mm DS......

I've dealt with BHPhoto in the past Fred; great to deal with, great prices.

Choose the DHL Express shipping if you buy something from them (it's not that expensive compared to the other options - it's cheaper than some options). My package (three eyepieces, larger than you might think) was ordered on a Monday & was delivered to more my door the following Sunday.. yep, you read that right, on a Sunday...

That was to Cairns so, regional, not capital city...

Thanks for your input. How did you go with the the duty / taxes? I saw they have a box that you can tick for them to deal with those but not sure if I won't receive any nasty surprises back in Aussie.

you can buy them from bhphotovideo as they ship worldwide. There prices are good compared to others and they are running a sale now. You can calculate the shipping easily before buying and then just add 10% extra for customs gst

A$ 4431 plus freight A$180 =A$4611 then the 10% gst (A$461)
Total around A$5072
That's a hefty price for a 60mm Ha scope.......
