I blended 2 separate images after stacking them in DSS
One was short subs of 15 seconds of about 30 images and 5 subs of 60 seconds each also combined with 30 darks.
Afterwards in Photoshop I blended the 2 together using layer masks in order to blend finely.
I really need to gather more data but I didn't last beyond 1 am last night before I called it a night, just waiting for Orion to be higher in the sky as it is too low in the east at 1am
I know some of the stars have a violet edge but I kind of like it.

Looking good Nick. Such a beautiful target to photograph. I’m working on this one myself at the moment.

It looks like you could afford to stretch yours a bit further.

Wow Nick that is a fine effort indeed, from the data you collected, I would be very happy with the outcome.

That's beautiful Nik well done. I love the naturalness of the nebulosity. Great job !!!

You’ve resolved it nicely down to the core but I agree with Gavin, you can probably stretch the darker areas a bit more.

Thanks guys, I did try stretching the darker areas more however it did introduce a lot of noise and due to the poor transparency of Melbourne skies and the fact it was low on the eastern horizon I really need to collect more data.
