Hi All,
I would like get some name of the sites in Victoria or Melbourne that some of you may recommend to go for stargazing.
I hoped I was not duplicating the old thread and apologized if accidentally did.
Thanks
Regards
Joe :)

Heathcote, snake valley, anywhere out of Melbourne's skydome really, depends on how far you are prepared to travel.

Thanks Nik for your hints. I would probably try MPAS public night first as that's the closest to me.

Hi Joe.

I wanted to ask this very same question. My first telescope arrived today and I’m keen to find some half decent places within an hour of Melbourne. I’m in the inner west and the light pollution is shocking. I understand I’m not going to get some proper dark skies around here...I’d just like to find somewhere darkish and ideally somewhere safe!

Good to know that I was not alone asking this.
