I have had this little scope for a while now but never used it .
And am going to give it to my grandaughter in time
Zeiss many years ago sold telescope making kits based around one of these 50/540 lenses, this scope was built around one of those cells with the maker putting together the rest .
The issue I have is the mating of the extension tube on the right
( it unscrews off the end of the scope body ) and the helical focuser on the left . Both are threaded internally but the maker for some reason decided to glue them together.I would just reglue but the mating surfaces are very narrow and i think it will fall off again.
I believe they just need to thread together by some sort of coupler or a new extension tube ( 25mm longer would be nice ) that just threads into the focuser , I think its a borg helical , but really arnt to sure on that .
Am happy to pay for work done and can send the two pieces by post
