After another couple of hours of tweaking the new scope, I got 40 minutes on M16 before it got too low in altitude.
Processing fairly simple - no decon or noise reduction. Background extraction, and histogram stretch. Finished in PS with some differential curve adjustment to control the dynamic range, and a little selective sharpening.
FOV is 37' x 32'

That looks excellent. All the favourite details are sharp and clear.
Time to post a high-res shot for admiration and awe.
Best,

Yeah looks rather good Mark and I agree with Mike, love to see the full res data, why hide all that wonderful detail from the viewer

Thanks all for your comments.
I don't have the facility to show high res full frame images.
For what it's worth, here is the central 4% of the full frame area. Again, there is no noise reduction or decon - it's pretty much as-shot, with the processing originally described.
As it shows on my screen, it is the size corresponding to a full frame print of about 1.1m square. Hope this helps

Rick and Mike,
Thanks for the comments - I wasn't sure about showing such a crop at this size, especially Ha at only 40 min, so I'm glad you liked it.
