Nice International Space Station pass tonight! A PB for me by the look of it. Manually tracked by hand.

Meade LX90 ACF 8" F10 SCT, 1/2000 second at ISO1600, Pentax K-5.

Thanks all! I'm having fun pushing this 8" to it's limits. Although I don't think this is the limit just yet. ;)

Fantastic shot.... how do you track and shoot at the same time?

I’m going to bed....not even worth trying to out do that one.

Amazing!

Thanks Lee. It's not easy, but I have an 80mm refractor piggyback on the SCT with a right angle finder, which helps. The 10" Newtonian is much easier to do it with due to being less awkward. I should have posted a pic of the setup. Maybe tomorrow.

Thanks Jon!

Stunning. Well done. How do follow it. Is it using the keypad while looking through the finder scope?

Thanks Mark and Marc!

I used the ED80 on top to track it while moving the lot manually by hand. I had everything turned off at the time.

My son is doing space at school this term, much to my delight.... We've been observing Jupiter each night, and tonight watched a nice bright ISS flyover. I showed him your pic 'WOW!' was his reponse.... you officially impressed an 8 year old with an astropic..... well done!

Thanks for posting the setup pic Kevin. Did you use a barlow or just the native 2m focal length? Good to see you can manually track the iss with an eq mount.

Thanks Bob, JA and Andy! The fun think about the ISS is that no two passes look the same due to sun angle and the angle of the solar panels. It's like one of those transformers.
