I had already gathered a little data on this swan when M&T's delightful cygnet
popped up...hence the delay in posting.

With gentle 60 knot breezes in Sydney of late I'm thinking colour (or maybe NB) will be a while yet....

but am happy with the H-alpha result here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery436.html)

Hope you enjoy the view.

Peter, the level of clarity in the tiny thready dust lanes and the finest shock fronts is astonishing. What a device!

Stunning image Peter. You've brought out the detail wonderfully and made it look deceptively easy considering the wide dynamic range of this object.

Thanks M&T, Marc, Kevin. Rob. It’s a not a bad little ‘scope...but having looked at the Chart32 version of M17...might need to convince the other half we need a rural property 3.5 metre dome and RC24...oh...and a lottery win

I can't repeat what word came out of my mouth when I first opened up your image - but it starts with F and ends with the last 3 letters of truck. Awesome detail/clarity.

Razor sharp. Every little ridge, tendril, knot and dust lanes are really well picked up.
Was this using the AOX?

Greg.

Ta Greg. Yes, I try to use the AO-X whenever possible.

In this case there was a conveniently placed and bright guide-star that allowed 10Hz guiding through the h-alpha filter.

That said, the seeing was not great.

On good nights I get stellar footprints around 30% smaller.

Resolution looks good for the size of the image Peter. As you would expect I would like to see a larger image to see the finer detail.

Thanks, but you know my position on uploading full res data....for various reasons I just don't
