Who says that one cannot do astrophotography by phone. A single image taken with an iPhone 8+ showing the setting crescent moon and the planet Venus. Taken from Napoleon Reef in the central west NSW Australia. Only processing was a little noise reduction in Pixinsight.

It certainly has Peter. We humans still need to work out what to point the camera at though :)
