Wow, love it. 10yrs ago when I was making the 16" I suspended an angle grinder off the apex of my roof by a bit of 3x2. Worked ok for a bit, the glass coming off in a slurry but despite running water over it, it began to come off in splinters. Ruined a nice disc.

That machine has got the brain ticking over. I'm busily hogging out a 20" now and a machine would be nice. Gordon Waite has used a diamond disc in an angle grinder, somebody else has used a diamond hole saw with the pilot drill removed.
