Got my early birthday present yesterday!

Hoping to get some nice wide field shots with my WO Zenithstar 61 and Star Adventurer Mount (purely a portable setup).
Would have been great on the HEQ5 Pro but it’s a pain in the ass to setup all the time plus it’s soemthing I don’t want to lag around with me!

I currently have a DSLR tripod which is good but not steady enough, need something more heavy duty.

I can use my HEQ5 Pro tripod instead but was wondering if there’s such an adapter to accomodate the Star adventurer Mount?
Or is it possible to buy an HEQ5 Pro tripod style that has the correct head?

I have a similar setup (WO star71, A7s) and I use the Star Adventurer Tripod. Sturdy and lightweight, and just noticed Bintel have them on sale at the moment for $99:

Hi Stefan

Iv been using a bosch surveyors tripod from bunnings for about a year now and have few complaints, Its rock solid and really stable, the spikes on the feet help with leveling (you can just push it into the dirt a bit more) and stop the occasional bump from moving anything.

The only modification needed would be to change out the current threaded fitting for a 1/4 inch threaded bolt and some nuts to keep it in place, pics attached.

Regards
Chris

Very much appreciate all the feedback and different setups everyone has shared, thank you.

I ended up purchasing a stainless steel tripod on the forums which will do nicely.

Will post some photos up when I get it and set it up!
