About 140 30 second and 60 second captures.
The 60 second captures had a 50% failure rate because there was simply too much stuff on the scope and a sand bag to add weight for counter weight.
But I am rather surprised this turned out at all.(Nikon D5500 8 inch f5 reflector 1600 iso and me half frozen):D
I cropped it and rotated it so the swan sits as a swan would sit.
Minimal processing it is what it is.

They should call it The Dog Nebula, you can see its mouth open a bit across the bottom, its eyes rather far apart, its floppy ears, and even a trace of its nostrils right in the middle.
It looks very different to my one I posted yesterday, maybe its the lack of the bluish tint.

Your image is much much better.
Trying to recover the burnt out region left the rest of the image degraded I thought.

Geez you have been busy! Unfortunately this one is pretty badly black clipped.

Yeah, have to agree with Kevin - you have killed most of the fainter bits around the swan. Nice image though!

The problem I faced was the center was burnt out and to bring it back from really bad stuff was sacrificed.
When I do a reprocess later when I start with either star tools or pixinsite I hope to work on different sections independantly and offer a better result.

Yes but at least I knew that I wS doi g that which is a step forward.

Still stacking and finding stuff I forgot about.
Opperating over two weeks without much sleep left things rather hazy.
