hi all,
here are some snaps from friday night.
i wasn't planning on planetary but was having issues with my main setup.
these were taken with a qhy163 mono, i dont have a filter wheel but use a filter draw, so i was manually changing filters in the true sense. i also couldn't attach my 5x powermate to the qhy163 but managed to get a 2" 2x barlow to attach. i was playing around with the settings quite a bit, but mostly i believe fps were 90-130 depending on the ROI setting.
these were taken in sharp cap (fire capture packed it in on the night
i tried winjupos on a couple of these, it introduced issues on the edging, i guess i didnt have it lined up properly in the settings.
anyway, i missed jupiter (behind the trees) by the time i got it working which is unfortunate as in the eyepiece it looked amazing.
well i dont think i need a dedicated planetary cam for the mars opposition looks like the qhy163 goes ok. definitely my best saturn / mars pics. so pretty happy.
