My first full narrow band with the Hubble palette. SII and OII at 3nm. The Ha at 5nm.

8hr of 10 minute subs with 12" f4 GSO truss Newt. The SII is rather weak in the area and I had a bit of a battle trying to get the colour balance that I wanted.

I still need to add some RGB stars.

Cheers Dave

+1 great shot. I wouldn't worry about RGB stars. Your NB star colors look good.

It’s rich, deep and detailed. What more could you want from an image ;)

Thanks for the comments guy.

I may have over done the saturation a little now that I see the image wound back slightly. :)

These objects are best presented in NB IMO. And the SII is very weak, so the colour balance is tricky. I really like this result:thumbsup:

Nice work, Dave! Love the colours. Contrast is rockin' at the the scale you've presented it here... I often find images that look great contrast wise at a small scale often don't look so great when you start pixel peeping, so I tend to understate things... but then I don't know how many people bother looking at full res ones anyway. Regardless, a very well presented image.

A well presented Statue of Liberty Dave and I agree that the star colours have survived quite well. Nice work

Really nice looking image Dave

I agree with Marc, doesn't look like it really needs RGB stars...?

Can we see a bigger one anywhere?
