Nice Troy , I was out last night to wasn't the best seeing I havent checked what got yet. Thinking of going with a C11 at some point myself
Cheers Marke,
yes same here seeing conditions not the best. I have three more days to work then I'm off for two weeks so hopefully I can capture something good in this time.
Most people go for large scopes when doing planetary imaging 14" - 16" seem to be the chioce for scope size.

I have considered the c14 but price rules it out not to mention having seeing good enough to use it

Nice detail despite of seeing Troy. Re aperture one must consider portability when going for a scope over 12 inches, I'd say permanent setup is a must for larger SCTs. I tend to take mine to the courtyard and leave it outside when high pressure system is in place, waiting for those perfect conditions.
It's been the usual pattern the last month or so - good seeing lasting 6 minutes at a time, usually going near perfect after 1am for about 15-20 minutes. Then around 3am another period.. and then high level winter fog before dawn.
