This is a cropped version of my Omega Centurai image I took the other day.

I noticed on the edges of the photo the stars look warped. I was using my telescope in my signature below with a focal reducer and a 1200D.

Any idea why this would be?

Also I took a photo of the Trifid and noticed there was a reflection which was Mars. I don't have the photo with me but wanted to ask what the problem could be.

Would like to know if I can fix it too!

Here is part of my shot of Orion.

Not sure what this strange effect is?

Orion issue is flaring from the bright star at the edge. See it all the time. Best to position the shot so bright stars are NOT at the edge of FOV.

The other image shows either tracking issues (need to see the ENTIRE image), flexure/sag/tilt or a not-flat field. Some reducers do NOTHING to mitigate field curvature, whereas some of the better, more expensive ones both flatten and reduce. Show the entire shot, including all corners, and this can be nailed down more

Thanks Lewis.

Might need to invest in a better reducer in the future.

I think I might have had some slight tracking issues which I am trying to iron out with an OAG.
