What ever could you mean Martin ... but it sounds like a smart arse comment, so, good on you and good luck to you

You make me laugh mate.

So your little dig on this being a repeat APOD is not a 'smart arse' comment?

Perhaps not, maybe a 'total dick' comment.

A Dick now huh?..:eyepop:..niiice one...

I have noticed APOD repeated images in the past but only theirs  I said your image was a nice one for sure, just questioned the repeating of a non NASA image..no need to get so cranky so easily..sheesh.

Congrats Martin. Who cares if its repeated. Well in a way it'd be great if they could spread the love more, but heck, it's their decision. Its not worth getting snarky about it. My goats don't care and never will..

And now we have a new class of imaging god! How many fellas have their image featured TWICE?! I know one dude who loves to put every single one of his awards in his signature. What is the protocol in this case ? 'APOD squared' ?

Thanks fellas.

I actually thought it was common knowledge that the Sunday APOD is a random generator of past APODs.

cheers and clear skies!

Cocks and chickens aside, it's a corker of an image, twice over :)

Que?

"NASA's rerun policy currently is to only rerun APODs more than one year old
to keep the pictures relatively "new" to new APOD viewers"...

I don't think Sunday's come into it :)

Plus you don't strike me as the FIGJAM type :)

No need to be self effacing Martin....I am certain they re-ran the image as it is a corker.

Aw c'mon Peter, we all know self-aggrandisement is part and parcel of astro-imaging (with the occasional self-deprecater )

Though, some images speak for themselves with nary a word spoken (or needed) nor chest beaten.

Thanks Guys.

Beautiful image! Congratulations!
I had no idea NASA recycled some images. I hadn't noticed.
Cheers,
Tim

Don't comment on "pretty pictures" at all as the egos fly a bit but that is stunning Martin.
