well had another crack at it last night. temp was 28 degrees when i finished up at 10pm. still processing the ser files but here is a sample. Toupsky is a beast and it is interesting how you have to think differently with capturing the data. so early days yet, here is a colour version and b&w

127ed and the gstarex3, 4 panel mosaic captured in toupsky, arranged in ps then tweaked with registax6 and then PS for final image with special sauce and herbs and spices

Nice pictures David . I’d be interested to know why you chose the Gstar EX3 as an imaging camera. Years ago I had a lot of experience with the original Gstar , which was a modified security camera . I see the The EX3 &4 are very different cameras looking more like ZWO cameras , who makes them.?

Go to http://www.myastroshop.com.au/guides/gstar/gstar-ex3.htm

For me the price was right and for me is a bit of fun. Nothing like a bit of a challenge and you can get a result. The software and chip make all the difference. I love my asi174 for solar imaging but this will do the planets and moon well if I can master it. Like golf you can play the green with a 2 iron or a putter
In the city deepsky imaging isn't the best, though those of Peter Ward ET Al skill and equipment level can flourish others who lack finess can play the back nine with a wedge ;)

Also note he is out if stock of the ex3 but he does have gstarex4's I think
