Much to my amazement it was clear In Sydney last night....but I noticed a little late....

But what to look at?? Another Eta Carina?...no :)

A late night hamburger seemed in order.....but without the RGB lot at this stage....

only managed to get 45 minutes of luminance and amazed to catch a satellite trail at midnight (a seriously high flying bird! )

The link is here (http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery424.html)

With about an extra hour of luminance and 45 minutes in RGB, it should be quite tasty.

Ta Louie... I was a little surprised to the the diffuse satellite galaxy show up with just 9x 5 minute subs.

Makes me think the tidal tail might also be doable from my neck of the woods.

I've been trying to catch this one and it's buddies over the last few nights too. Lovely image, especially with such a short exposure, and the detail in the dust lane is exquisite! However - this is a hot dog. If you want a burger you need NGC5128.
cheers,
Andrew.
