I think the C14/ASI290MM combo may be hitting the straps at last :D, am really happy with data quality and processing on this one, enough to show it in the full 1.5x drizzle version. Perfect seeing encouraged me to get up, even though I was getting on a plane to Europe later that day. I've still got some more Jupier & Mars images to process from that morning. 9min RGB.

Edit: added another RGB, plus IR & methane images, the last two were through thin cloud and not quite so good.

When the seeing is that good do you get a chance to view it visually through an eyepiece..? The idea of viewing a planet in 10/10 seeing is a dream :) Viewing through a scope under the typical seeing experienced at the best sites in the World (Chile, La Palma etc) around 0.5" would surely be a revelation :)

Top effort Andy. The GRS seems a lot brighter than it has been for many years.
I'll have to have a look when Jupiter is rising at a more appealing hour!;)
Keep up the good work!

Wow:eyepop: and congrats. What a great reward for pushing yourself to image when you could have easily said " naahh I've got too much on today"

These images.. process the rest:thumbsup:
Ganymede Transit coming up Sunday 4th March 1.32am AEST ...33.6° Altitude from Sydney region for those interested... Ganymede always worth a look at 1.5" plus diameter for albedo features.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the friendly comments! Glad you liked them, and I hope I get the chance to do a few more like this. It's odd processing them from the UK where Jupiter is <20deg above the horizon!
Mike, you're right, it probably would've been brilliant through the eyepiece, but with clouds lurking I didn't dare back off from imaging. If I get another night like that, I'll try and report back :D
I've added another RGB that was as good as the first one, and an IR & methane that were limited by approaching clouds. The RGB is the 67% version, view the 100% version in the gallery here alongside the others (https://photos.app.goo.gl/hUV8ABBreO6hBMjw1)
