Dust been blowing off the Brindabellas all day over Canberra, so yeah, seeing sucks. Probably easily transported to Sydney by now.

what are you complaining about - nothing! at least its clear for you:P there is a major fire to the west of Downtown Wallsend (in Putty) AND THE SMOKE PLUME HAS COVERED THE ENTIRE SKY FOR ME

Yes!and we have Universe created out of nothing....so that would be something! and If i never complained I wouldn't be an IIS member now would I big fella.....and stop complaining about fires...It keeps our fire men employed.

See what I got to deal with, even WITHOUT the dust in the atmos-fear? :screwy: I need an LP filter like a fish needs water. Now to invent a dust filter - can I remove it from my Dyson?

Well I'm at Bankstown and imaging to see how much the seeing sucks right now (10.45pm) ... lol. Got to take whatever we can these days given the crappy summer weather :)

Very few nights of the year is seeing here not "crap".
While I live at a dark site and transparency is often excellent, our house is in a valley and strong thermal currents are a ubiquitous problem.
When I take my scope (an FS102) down to the flats, the difference is obvious. I can go from a maximum of 7mm to 4mm or even 2.5mm.
If it weren't so purty here, I'd move!
