Zeiss refractor with carbon tube?

I was hunting through APMs 'stock clearance due to moving' sale and came across this Zeiss monster for a mere 24000 Euro!

If I'm to believe all the negatives I've read about refractors with carbon fibre tubes, why would APM place such impressive Zeiss fluorite triplet lenses in one?

Weight and possibly ease of manufacture (making CF tubes any size is quite simple).

CF is NOT something you want in a refractor - otherwise, the high-end likes of AP, Tak, TEC, CFF etc would be using them. Look how popular the Officina Stellare Vipers with CF tube were (NOT!).

Yuri Petrunin of TEC and several other manufacturers have explained very well before why CF is NOT prime for refractors.

The strehls 96.6 great but there exists better or similar , for much , much , much less money...
More to do with the coveted name, pride of ownership.. than anything else...Carbon fibre ..no way!
And its still only 6"! Makes the Tecs, Taks ,AP etc ..look like absolute giveaways.

And either of these Wunder scopes by Roland or Matthias would leave the poor ol but great Zeiss 6 incher in the dust visually ..though to be fair AP is a different story , even though it is housed in Carbon fibre.. esp widefield.

I heard one older 10 inch by Roland ..no longer made, sold for $25000 US plus recently!

To be honest if I had the spare cash and the observatory to put it in, I'd take the 16" f/4 Mak-Newt... perfect focal length, small secondary, and it's F/4 !!!
