"Mad" Mike Hughes, a flat-Earth conspiracy theorist, appears to have a new rocket and a new launch date for his mission to prove our oblate spheroid world is actually a disc.

Goodluck with that.

Had a bit of a chuckle when I read this, there are some very strange folk out there.

Cheers Keith :rofl::rofl::rofl::screwy::screwy:: screwy:

At last someone outside the system who can reveal the truth.
But they will sabotage the flight just wait and see.
More proof "they" are hiding the truth from us.

I think "Mad Mike' is just taking the Flat Headers ....err ... Earthers for a ride. They are funding his project. He can spin this out for years, free 'ride' for him.

Twerps ...

...And when all this dies down, he can downsize/retire to a humble 40,000 seat Tele-Evangelism stadium

He’s claimed delay after delay. Been watching this tool for months.

You can’t see much curvature of the Earth at 30,000 ft let alone the 200 ft - if that - he will get out of his “rocket”. No fundamental grasp of science at all

I dont know, when I drive from Sydney to Tabulam it is flat all the way... Should I send him money?

Do flat earth folk work things out in such a fashion or does it just come from some interpretation of their religious book like the chap in the earlier vid?

Maybe some just join the group to go to meetings and pick up chicks. I remember as a teenager the only reason anyone went to church was to meet girls.

Me too Alex, I joined the church choir when I was 13 to be with the chicks.

Why doesn't Mad Mike use a hot air balloon instead of a rocket?, much safer and he can easily come back to the ground, instead of risking a parachute.

Mad Mike himself says he'll get to 1800 feet.
Apart from Bill's balloon suggestion above, he could get in a car and drive up a mountain or hill that's higher than that (& he still won't be able to see the curvature of the Earth).
Mt Kosciusko is 7300 feet!
(Actually, maybe that's just what he wants: to be able to produce a photograph that doesn't show the Earth's curvature...!)

Bare in mind, 1800 is a big number for simple people

Along those lines, have we a contender for Darwin Awards 2018 finalist?

It would take 900 flat-Earthers to make 1800 feet.

So yea, big number. Until they learn how to count toes as well.
