Lets face it . Big Dobs were built for Visual observation so why would I think i can do AP with this beasty? I think I got the Bug!! :confused2: I've cobbled together an Olympus Pen E-P-M2 4/3 mini at prime focus, unguided , with "Zamar" my Adopted 20" SDM /Obsession F5 Classic .
70 lights @ 2 sec each and some darks stacked in Sequestor from the outer burbs of Brisbane. I am a hack at post ed where I used Gimp . This looks a bit blue to me but when I play with the "Curves" it looks worse. However when I first looked at the result immediately after stacking the Bright bar blew me away. :eyepop: Then I received the current sky and Tel today and blow me down with a feather I see it on page 57. I didn't know its name until today !! Anyway here's my rendition of M42 ... You decide

Looks good to me (apart from the blue cast). 2 sec exposures, what a light bucket! You can't beat a big scope for resolution either, you've captured the Trapezium cluster nicely. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapezium_Cluster
You could have a bit of fun with that if you could get it on to a big motorized eq mount. Well done.
