Just a quick post to see what is a reliable auto focus kit for a 120ED Skywatcher.
Definitely must be a stepper, but the range and options can be bewildering.
Any reviews, comments, appreciated,
thanks,
Kev.

I use this one.
http://www.sharpsky.net/
Used to have it on my old Skywatcher ED80 without any problems.

It's a nice unit, but I'll give a caveat just in case. There's no driver for INDI, only ASCOM.

I've mucked around with a few, JMI, SharpSky, Robofocus, home made steppers and dc motors.

Robofocus for me.

Are steppers the best ones..? Robofocus has both. Is this a reliability preference?
Thanks
Kev

I prefer moonlite focusers. They're a bit expensive but solid and are supported through ASCOM as well and other programs natively (TSX for example).
