Ok, still learning the ropes with NB processing.
5x10 min through each filter with ASI1600mm
FLT 110 with 0.8 reducer/flattener
Image 1 is SHO/Hubble palette and Image 2 is HOS palette.
Interesting to see more fainter shock waves on top of image 2.
Comments welcome, I need suggestions to improve my processing skills.
Thanks
Bo

Both nice but a bit monochrome, Bo. Try to get more balance between the colour channels. What software are you using for processing? I can make some concrete suggestions for how to do this in PI but can't offer much help for other packages.

Cheers,
Rick.

Think I prefer the second but then again I like the “space on Fire” look :)

Thanks Rick, you are right, it is a bit mono looking. I am using Images Plus to register, align and stack. I use the same program to aligned the stacked images to produce the coloured TIFF, then off to PS to finish off the image.
I used Images Plus extensively for my DSLR imaging, and knows a few of its functions. I am still learning to use Maxim DL and PI just looks like a huge learning curve for me.
What sort of suggestions for better colour balance in PI? I will see if I can use the principles and play with them in PS and see if it helps.
Thanks!
Bo

Probably a bit too much "fire" Still a long way to go in processing mono I am afraid.
