One of the fun things about having a new telescope is that you get a year of re-imaging all the favorites to see how good it is. I acquired these data over three nights this week, although the moon washed out most of the thursday results.
5 minute subs LRGB, totalling about 10 hours under heavy light pollution.
Scope is a 16"f3.6 newtonian, camera a QSI683.

thanks for looking!

Huh, talk about shooting against the odds :eyepop:....still, certainly shows plenty of promise from your amazing kit...and besides, I guess you were in the pool while this was being collected anyway?..Saudi Arabian imaging

Very nice Andrew. The galaxy and the stars could do with some more colour but the details are all there.

Cheers Greg - it's definitely worth a stretch to see.

Cheers Mike - Bad seeing may have been caused by a Pizza oven operating near the dome, but I was definitely supervising things from a floating beer lounge for some of those subs.
Now to get rid of all the other 2 million people intruding on my dark sky!

Shows a lot of promise, Andrew. Shame about the light pollution, but the 16" would be killer for NB imaging
