Following on from an earlier thread (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=162233) where I combined a luminance image from an ASI1600MM-C with an old QHY8 OSC image for colour, I grabbed some RGB data with the ASI1600.
Shockingly bad RGB data - was a windy night. But you seem to be able to get away with using quite poor colour data?? - dunno, I'm new at the LRGB game. This is only my second proper LRGB image.
This is about 3 hours of luminance and 2.5 hours (total) of RGB on an RC8 with an EQ6 mount all with just the ZWO 1.25" filter set.
Full res on Astrobin (http://www.astrobin.com/full/318144/B).
Much wider field than the previous image (http://www.astrobin.com/full/316648/D/)as didn't have to crop out the overlap of two very different images! :P
I seem to have lost the red Ha areas in the galaxy in this version - perhaps with the very poor res colour data?? Perhaps some Ha subs needed to rectify.
