Well deserved!

However, it's a bit ironic that this team got the Nobel for confirming a prediction of Einstein, but Einstein never got the Nobel for his work on Relativity and Space-Time. (The Nobel Prize in Physics 1921 was awarded to Albert Einstein "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect".)

Mark,

Have you any conception of how excited Icer's would be if one of their number became a Laureate? Finger and toes crossed!

Earlier this year, National Geographic channel showed the series "Genius" (which may still be available on catch-up or down-load), starring "our" Geoffrey Rush as Albert Einstein in his later years - a very accessible way to learn about Einstein's life and work.

Hi Julian,

I have the series which I purchased on iTunes. An entertaining dramatization
of Einstein's personal life. Great performances. Highly recommended.
