While poking around looking for bags I found this site:

They make heavy duty canvas that look ideal for assorted things like OTA's as well as tripods and more.

Add your own padding (but that's not hard to do).

What's more they will make to custom dimensions.

Spoke to the lady who runs this company - its a small outfit in Queensland and they will do custom jobs if you can provide dimensions. She's also researching the question of padding the interior for things like OTA's or mounts and it appears this is a definite yes.

Works out a lot less than chunky aluminium and plywood boxes full of foam for OTA's, mounts or tripods. I have one on the way for the Russian Tank.
