First light with my new ASI174mm, and first ever attempt at a full disc. Quite a capable little camera.

Wow, what a terrible image I posted! I've attached another attempt at processing.

Best 10% of 20k images this time (over 2 minutes), which allows a more aggressive "very small detail" wavelet sharpening. Some extra features around the sunspots and in between can now be resolved.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking at a couple of options: throwing in a barlow as suggested (I've got a 3x TV and 2x GSO), or looking at another sensor (e.g. ASI178mm) that can achieve a full disc at ~1"/pixel without mosaicing - but at 1/3 of the framerate.

I guess what matters is .. how quickly do features on the surface change? Should I be limiting my lucky imaging session to 30 seconds, or 5 minutes? I guess I'll find out when I get more sunny weekends.
