what a howler -imaging the sun in 70km winds

stupid i know but i had to get my fix. obviously not great but here it is. i wonder if you can see the join LOL the seeing was crud which made mosaic mode impossible

I had a peek and very bouncy so you did well to capture something rather decent.

Lovely photo! In Brisbane last week there was some super-heavy bushfire smoke on the western horizon at sunset acting like a filter, and against my better judgement I looked at the sun (carefully!) though my binoculars and thought I could see these sunspots, and your photo confirmed it! They were pointing towards one o'clock when I saw them. Eyesight returned to normal within 24 hours.
