Is there a list anywhere of the full range of astro filters and their intended use ?

I once did visit a page that had all the colours layed out with descriptions of what they are best used for. There were so many and I quickly decided filters weren't for me, and I'd stick to the 'clear' filter. :)

Hi Harb, filter usage and their visual effect is naturally very dependant on our own individual eyesight and biological perceptions, here is a link that tests some Lumicon filters against popular DSO's and it gives a feel for what might be suitable for each object, the author recognises that his perceptions may not be shared by others which is nice.
