Finally, some images!

Finally managed to fix guiding and alignment issues. Got a couple of shots in before the telescope started hitting the tripod trying to track. This put the polar alignment out of whack. I really wanted to get dumbbell as well but beggars cant be choosers :shrug:

Excellent effort Tony, :thumbsup: however I found if one tries for to many objects one one night they become unstuck. :sadeyes:

I did that many times, and yep there were many failures.:sadeyes:

Then i thought I must pick what I want to do and stay with it, I did and it made a big difference.

Yeah, i found that if i slew too much the tripod will start sinking in to the ground more

Diito from me Leon, nice pics and sound advice on planning your target and sticking with it. I know too well how boring it can be waiting for shots to finish, then you dig out Sky Safari and think, "but just to the left a bit is a galaxy I haven't got yet, so why don't I stop now and try for that before I finish up?" Next thing you realise at the computer is you didn't get enough data of your first target and the second one got chopped in half at the edge of the frame. The eagerness to catch them all makes fools of us all.

I find myself just taking subs on nights the skies are clear of just a random direction, no specific target, just to have some stuff to process when I have time. Those pesky interesting items "just to the left a bit" I instead take note of and try the following night to go for them specifically.

I've re-editted them with less saturation and more redder, not sure why the other images were overly blue (mightve messed up star tools settings)

And I thought I was alone in having a short attention span, or fidgety fingers when it comes to that nice looking nearby object in sky safari ? I should turn off sky safari.
