Managed to get a single 5 minute frame from my new ED127 before clouds rolled in a couple of days ago. Ive set up for a couple of days now but always being stuck on an issue, mainly the mount coming out of polar alignment whenever I slew (Im assuming its the weight of the scope/mount thats digging further in to the dirt. going to buy some pads from bunnings this afternoon and try again tonight).

yep a 1mm change in one leg is huge in alignment terms, but a nice pic none the less., now add a few hundred more and process... :)

Great capture promise of good things to come.
What about driving some stakes into the ground with a blob of cement on top so your pads have a firm footing.
Could work for you if you use the same spot.
I did similar in the early days before I went to a pier.

Unfortunately we rent the house so any thing thatll noticeably damage the lawn is out of the question.

Spray paint any concrete green, it's worked perfectly fine for the Greeks for years
