A quick introduction.

Hello there fellow IceInSpace members.
The name is Gavrilo, I'm from Melbourne and was introduced to Astrophotography by Rustigsmed a few years back.
I just got my first scope, a Skywatcher 70/900 for $50. I didn't expect much from it, but I really was blown away by Jupiter, Saturn and our Moon.
Anyway, looking forward to some excellent discussions!

:welcome: from me as well , yes those 70mm refractors are quite good optically , I have had a few over the years and they have all been good-excellent optically , I now have the 90mm version and its so good it's now my favorite grab and go scope , real value for the money .

I have a 70x900 frac too, but I got ripped off...bought mine for $60 :lol:
Nice optics as Brian mentioned. I just added a 2" focuser to make it even better, see photo below.

You may want to turn you new 70 mm telescope on Jupiter this week. Jupiter will be at opposition this week, its closest to earth. 70 mm is plenty to see the moons and the cloud bands.
