Hi all,

Some quick advice please if you don't mind. I know Seben make junk gear, but do you think their 12.5mm illuminated cross reticle would really matter? I'd only be using it for drift and stuff anyway, not viewing. What do you think? Save $50 off hinted skywatcher one?

Cheers chaps & chapettes, as always your advice is greatly appreciated.

This should probably be in beginners equipment, can someone pls move it if appropriate? Apologies.

Hi

I can't compare it to anything else, but, I have the the Seben eyepiece and think it is fine.

Only issue is the the little screw under the label came loose occasionally. A drop of superglue fixed that.

Hi
I've purchased a few bits and pieces from Seben and the 12.5mm Illuminated Plossel is much the same as the other brands out there and work fine. Quite possibly from the the same factory that manufactures for Skywatcher etc but without the mark up on price.

Seben don't make anything, just sell rebadged gear from various manufacturers, so their items cannot be blanket labelled as junk.
The 12.5mm reticle EP is fine for your purposes. Their 8-24mm zoom
EP is excellent value, same EP and case as sold by others at higher price.
