Hi, I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with using these two programs together and can give some tips as to how it works? (if it works!)

Thanks,
Nathan.

Hi Nathan,
It works, but you're better off saving the images and stacking them afterwards. The mail reason if nothing else is that there are no calibration (Darks Flats, Bias) options available. It's pretty easy if you do want to go down this path, just have BYE save the images in a folder and set that folder as the watch folder for DSSLive, there is a one page manual on the DSS site that you can have a quick read through: http://deepskystacker.free.fr/english/live.htm Should be enough to get you going, but I'd highly recommend that you perform the stacking with your calibration frames after capture.

Ihaven't got backyard eos but I've just started using eos utilities with astrotoaster (which uses dss). Can subtract darks and flats on the fly for live imaging.

Have a look at this. This guy is getting awesome results:

He has some others showing the workflow.
