This little project could make focussing of this lens a bit easier (not that is hard, but it is never a good idea to apply any kind of mechanical stress to OTA while focussing).
Electronics I am using here was discussed and developed with Nico13 some time ago on this forum (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=92549&highlight=encoder+stepper). It doesn't use processor, only re-wired ULN2003 board, and cheap rotary encoder. Of course, anything else can be used here, this stepper is not power hungry.

There is nothing special about this mechanical solution... but it may be useful as an idea to someone.
Initially I wanted to 3D-print the motor holder, but decided to make it from standard aluminium extrusion (channel 50x25x3mm and angle, 20x3 mm).
The bracked is held in place on lens handle by M3 screw (not shown, but M3 threaded hole is visible on the drawing), and can be easily removed.
