Some images taken last weekend at Crago Observatory.
Canon 60D DSLR and Samyang 14mm lens.

Some much needed photonic therapy.

A good number of visitors and a fabulous night of imaging and observing.

Looks great Richard. You've made the most of the clear break that week.

Looking good there Richard. One thing I have noticed with Canon camera nightscapes they tend to show a red bias to the background. Often show the sky a muddy brown and unless there is a bushfire or excess dust the background sky should really be more a charcoal colour. So I would take care when using a Canon camera to balance the background and move the white balance point to achieve that colour or tone down the reds.

I notice this in a side by side auto white balance between a Sony A7r and a Canon 5D. The Canon out of the camera shots were way off with muddy skies and the Sony's were basically spot on straight out of the camera. Fuji auto white balance is the same - spot on.

Greg.
