I was just reading in the Bintel Newsletter that Tele-Vue has designed a NEW type of focuser to out-perform the Crayford. It has supposedly got feather touch focusing. (apparently fitted to Tele-Vue scopes) I wonder if it will become an accessory for any scope?

Does anyone have any further info on this new focuser yet?

The only mention of it on their site describes it as an accessory.

Sorry BD.
That was a quick between kids stuff post.
It's mentioned only in the ?promo ? whats new?exhibit show?link somewhere on their homepage.
It only mentions it as the new 2speed focusser and states it's an accessory. So I presume it'll be available for all scopes.

I wonder if the surprise is the new focuser? or if it is the 2 speed they mention? Have to wait and see.

I wouldn't mind a couple of those little model scopes, they would look great on my TV cabinet.

Sorry there is already one called a Clement focuser.
You can't get any lower a profile than this for a Newtonian (1") and still have the focus travel but it comes at a cost.
