Townsville Astronomy Group is holding its annual Camp at Bivouac Junction http://www.bivouacjunctionholidays.com over the weekend 3-5th June and we extend an invitation to any and all who can make it to attend and enjoy a good social few days under beautiful dark Nth Queensland skies. The owners of the camp are more than willing to accommodate us with reduced costs and as you can see from the link that there is plenty to do and see locally when not sleeping off the previous night.
If you use google earth or some such you can see and area on the north east side of the camp where there is a cricket pitch sounded by good campsites as well as the traditional cabins /caravan areas
It would be great if interested folks could contact us either by pm here or else email admin@astronomytsv.org.au.
I don't recall any such events being held up here for some time so it would be great to get folks together.
