Comet 252/P near LMC with binos

I saw the topic with the photo of the comet near the LMC. Then I looked it up on the chart on Skysafari (updated minor body data) and SS displayed a mag +10.8, so not an option for my 16x50.
I looked it up with the ED110 and it was clearly visible despite the gibbous moonlight. Then I grabbed my 16x50 and it was clearly visible as well so it should be well brighter than +10.8.

Did anyone see it with binos ?

Yes, I could see it clearly last night with 7X50 binoculars. Seeing was about 4 out of 5 and transparency 6 out of 7 but with very strong and gusty winds. Did not even try a telescope.
It was a great sight with the LMG in the same field of view.
I will try again if the weather permits but the brightening moon may make it harder. Cannot wait too long for another clear night as it is travelling very quickly.

I managed a very brief sighting tonight through a gap in rolling cloud banks. It is certainly travelling quickly and is now well past the LMC.
The sighting was with my 7X50 binoculars again.
The moon is going to make it harder over coming nights.

It has moved well away from the Large Magellanic Cloud. It is now between the constellation Chamaeleon and the South Celestial Pole. By tomorrow it will have crossed the tip of Octans and entering Apus. It is moving quickly.

I was able to sweep up the comet without knowing exactly where it was with 8x50 binoculars. It was right next to alpha Triangulum Australis. The moon had set, but the sky was fairly bright (suburb of Hobart) and there was some intermittent mist/cloud.

It was about 3 times larger than Omega Cen, but a lot dimmer.

Easy to photograph: 50mm lens, 20sec 1600ISO f2.5 (no guiding) shows it well.
