After many years I have finally found time to pursue my long lost hobby of astronomy.I have recently retired and a couple of months ago I travelled up to the north coast of NSW to Tuckurimba.I had the privilage of meeting Donna .I purchased her late husband's ( Jeff) dome ,and with the great assistance of her friend Graham ( GrahamL ) we loaded the dome onto my trailer and carted it back to my house on the Central Coast.
The site isn't ideal ,but I have fairly good views to the East,North and some West. The dome is nearing completion, the other night I had a trial run and viewed the nebula in Orion.Optics were sensational, tracking good, but I still need to work on the GoTo.
So, early days still, but looking forward to spending more time out there.
Cheers Kevin.
