My partner and I dedicate our lives to rescuing and rehabilitating injured animals of all species, however we have a particular love for birds.
Last night we released a beautiful Tawny Frog Mouth who'd been with us for a couple of months after falling from his nest too young in a bad storm and suffering concussion. Every animal has its own wonderful personality and Wooley was named because he had such thick wooley feathers on the back of his neck. You could lose your fingers in the richness of his feathers.
Here is an iPhone picture taken of Wooley while he surveyed his brave new world free in the vastness of nature from my shoulder before he flew away. It's grainy but says it all.
