hello members i hope someone can please tell me what the imaging train would look like for this combo:

3" focusser > 3" TS 0.79 FF/FR > 2"(!) LP Filter > QHY10 ccd

the problem is the focusser to the filter for me!~
regards

Pat, below is an image of my Tak FSQ-106. The OAG has since been removed (want one? :)), but the image train is 4" focuser to M72 to 2" compression ring (Tak makes them SO fine there is NO slop - you fight air pressure installing things!). CCD has a 2" nosepiece with an M48 UV/IR up front, and screwed onto my IDAS copy T2 filter, which then screws onto the CCD.

No flex apparent, but I am waiting on my Precise Parts threaded adapter to arrive to mitigate it all.

ah ok lewis, so my 3" ff/fr screws directly into my qhy ccd as it is no problem, the idas has only 1 threaded side so i can thread it to my ccd but then cannot attach the fr to that!?
cannot see how i am going to mate it all with only 1 threaded side?

You will need a compression ring adapter or similar if you want to use a 2" nosepiece

The IDAS by memory has a female thread on the front that you can screw an adapter to - I do know Teleskop Express sell a 3" to M48 male adapter and a T2 adapter also (screws to front of an M48 or T2 filter)
