Hey guys!

So I'm planning on taking my 10" Dob out into the wilderness to show some of my family and close friends a few amazing things. The thing is, I'm not entirely sure what's visible this time of year.

I know Jupiter is viewable, but I'd love to show some nebula and star clusters as well. Months ago I showed some friends the flame nebula, tucanae 47, the large and small Magellanic clouds as well as whatever planets were visible at the time.

Is there anything of equal beauty that's relatively easy to spot over the next several weeks?

I live in northern regional Victoria, if that helps.

Hope you're all keeping well!

G'day,

Saturn is the big one for sure its located near Scorpius at the moment.

You've got the galactic bulge full of goodies in good positioning now.
So Sagittarius and Scorpius .. objects like the Lagoon Nebula M8, Triffid nebula M20, M17, M4, etc. its a treasure trove to just explore with a dob.

Here is a good rundown of weekly viewing for the southern hemisphere http://astroblogger.blogspot.com.au/

Cheers

We are having some beautiful, clear night skies at the moment. But it's just so cold!
